Cooking Class & Market Visit in Gozo
Learn about Maltese cuisine by experiencing how it’s made from market to table with this shared cooking class in Gozo. Walk with your cooking host to some local businesses to get your ingredients. Return to the open kitchen to prepare traditional Maltese recipes, which may include “pastizzi” and “ftira”, under your host’s guidance and instruction. Finish with a lunch of your morning’s efforts. Your host shares some cooking from his childhood memories. You will be given the opportunity to discover and make some traditional Maltese recipes. This is a hands-on activity where guests will be expected to participate in the preparation of some genuine home-made cooking! Inaugural Concert
This year, world-class violinist Carmine Lauri will headline the 28th edition of the Victoria International Arts Festival. Paganini’s Violin Concerto no. 1 and Sibelius’s Symphony no. 2 will be performed by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of VIAF’s resident conductor, Philip Walsh. All VIAF concerts are free of charge, but seat reservations for the opening concert are advised by sending an email to info@viaf.org.mt

Marċ Tad-Dimostrazzjoni – Festa Qalb ta’ Ġesù
9:30 PM: The St. Gregory Band of Kerċem starts a march from Ta’ Mulejja Street to the front of the square, where it will accompany the procession with the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the parish streets, energetically organized by the Fontana Youth Commission. 11:30 PM: Inauguration of the surprise on the occasion of the tenth anniversary. 11:45 PM: Inauguration of the Light Banner project. Work by the Fontana Decoration Association. 11:55 PM: Arrival of the procession statue in front of its pedestal and placement. 12:05 AM: Immediately after the statue is placed on the pedestal, the sixth edition of ‘Il Cuore Che Brilla – X’ will be presented, starting with an audiovisual feature. 12:15 AM: A synchronized light, fire, and flame show with music called ‘Il Cuore Che Brilla.’ All the firework work is by the Fontana Fire Association, ignited using the FireTek system. 12:30 AM: Afterparty
